pressing the pause button

“Good health is the most important thing. More than success, more than money, more than power.” — from The Godfather Part II

I’m taking another break — an extended, indefinite break — from blogging for health reasons. Let’s skip ahead to the A part of the Q and A session:

Yes, I’m falling apart, generally speaking, and have to undergo another surgery soon. Yes, for those of you keeping score at home, this makes three surgeries three years in a row. No, I’m not any more thrilled about it than you are. Yes, hospital gowns are ridiculous.

No, the cancer’s not back, so don’t worry. Yes, I’ll be just fine; I just need time to rest, recover and heal. No, I don’t eat all my vegetables and yes, I know that I should.

No, you can’t have this domain name. Yes, I plan to blog again in the future, absolutely, but no, I don’t know when that will be. (Not gonna lock myself into a particular time frame; it takes as long as it takes.)

No, I don’t “look sick” and yes, I find that comment annoying. No, I don’t mind your asking my age: I’m 39 (but about 8 or 9 years old on the inside).

Yes, I know I’ll be fine (but thanks for reminding me). Yes, I’ll still be watching movies as much as possible (just not attending many events or writing about it all online). Yes, I’ll miss being “Tampa Film Fan” for a while, but I’m looking forward to feeling better. (And again — no, you cannot have my domain name.)

Aloha!
